Cookie Policy
Deskio AI uses a small amount of local storage on your device and may use essential cookies required for site operation. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.
1. Cookie and Local Storage Inventory
| Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | deskio_cookie_consent remembers whether you accepted or declined the site's consent notice. | Until cleared, or until the consent record is replaced |
| Functional | raabta_session_id and raabta_session_ts keep an active website chat session available across page loads. | Session expires after one hour of inactivity; browser storage may remain until cleared |
| Analytics | Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*, and related cookies) helps us understand how visitors use this site - pages viewed, general location (country/city level), and device type. It only loads after you click Accept on the consent notice below; choosing Decline means it never loads at all. | Up to 2 years (set by Google) |
| Third-party (Cloudflare Turnstile) | A one-time human-verification check that runs before a brand-new website chat session can begin, to block automated spam. Cloudflare sets its own cookie for this - we don't control its name or contents. | Set by Cloudflare, per Cloudflare's own cookie policy |
| Third-party (Google Sign-In) | Only loads on the Login and Sign Up pages, and only if you choose "Sign in with Google" - Google sets its own cookies to manage that sign-in, which we don't control. | Set by Google, per Google's own cookie policy |
The chat session identifier is randomly generated and does not contain a person's name, email address, or message content by itself. Conversation content is stored by the service when a visitor uses the assistant and is covered by our Privacy Policy.
2. What We Don't Do
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or sell browsing data to advertisers. Google Analytics is used for aggregate site-usage statistics only, is only loaded after consent, and is never active inside the chat widget or your business dashboard.
3. Consent and Opt-Out Controls
When the consent notice appears, choose Accept or Decline. You can revoke that choice by clearing this site's local storage and cookies in your browser settings, then revisiting the site. This resets the consent notice and starts a new chat session; it does not delete conversation records already stored by a business.
Most browsers let you block, delete, or restrict cookies and site storage through Privacy or Site Settings. Blocking functional storage may prevent the chat from resuming between page loads, but the rest of the public site should remain available. You can also install Google's own Analytics opt-out browser add-on if you'd like to opt out of Analytics across every site that uses it, not just this one.
